But like every junkie, I crawl willingly back into the arms of my demons.

Oh, the price we pay to feel loved. We’d all sell our souls to the devil himself for that. Perhaps I have already.

— ABOUT THE AUTHOR: ANNE JOLIN

Hey y’all,
I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside Vancouver, Canada. I grew up riding horses, shooting guns, and driving in trucks.

I never expected to be an author. A massage therapist? Yes. Take over the family construction company? Yes. But an author? No. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.

Since I’ve always been a creative person, it feels amazing to harness all of that energy and use it to tell a story I love. I enjoy incorporating bits of my real life into the stories I write. What parts are true? Hah. I’ll never tell—what would be the fun in that?

If I could leave y’all with one thing, it’s that life’s far too short to not live it out loud. Drown in your passions, hold on tight to the things that inspire you, and chase your dreams relentlessly. I can promise you without a doubt that you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.

Mad love,
Anne Jolin

RELEASE DAY BLITZ: Logan by Tijan

Logan Kade is FINALLY here! #sexmachine #fallencrest #logankade

Blurb
You think you know me?
Manwhore. Partier. Fighter.
You know what? You’re right. I’m all those things. F*ck with what’s mine and I’ll f*ck you ten times harder. Suspensions. Arrests. You think I care?

So yeah, I may fit the bad boy image, but there’s so much more you don’t know.

I'm loyal to a damned fault. I'll never leave your side. The real Logan Kade isn’t a manwhore. When I love, I love hard and completely.

Taylor saw that side of me. Inside of me. She saw my darkness and pain, and the second she did, she owned me.

You may think you know me…
…but she’s the only one who sees me.

EXCERPT ONE
Someone new had arrived at the party, and turning around, I assumed it was Logan Kade. I could only see the back of him. He was talking to a group of guys right outside the back door, and someone motioned in our direction.
Jason groaned.
Logan lifted his head, looking right at us.
From the back, he was the finest specimen I’d seen in a long time. Tall. Lean. Broad shoulders. Trim waist. His shirt clung to his form, outlining his lithe build. He was obviously an athlete. Guys couldn’t get that look unless they played sports on an almost-daily basis and for hours at a time. Others might try to mold and sculpt their bodies to look as good as this one, but their efforts never played out.
Even the back of his neck was delicious. His shirt hugged the muscles of his shoulder and the ridges where his neck and shoulders became one. His hair had a crew cut. When he finally glanced over his shoulder again, looking in the direction the other guy had pointed, his eyes found mine. They held firm.
I swallowed, feeling like I’d just gotten the wind knocked out of me. He was breathtaking.
Dark chocolate eyes. Long eyelashes I would’ve killed for when I was younger—hell, I still would. He had an angular face with high cheekbones, and the front of him matched his back. His biceps bulged, and his shirtsleeves tightened around them for a second before they relaxed. The outline of washboard abs was visible through his shirt. His jeans sealed the image, making my mouth water, and I finally pulled my eyes away.
I had to. I hadn’t reacted to a guy like this in a long time.

EXCERPT TWO
“Get Logan,” someone yelled.
Another girl asked, “Where is Logan?”
I heard other people saying the same thing, but I focused on the girl.
She raised her chin, and a warning flashed in her eyes. “Touch me. I dare you.”
There were three of them, all tall and, not to be stereotypical, but they looked like preppy douchebags. Each was good looking, with bodies built like they rowed every morning for hours. They looked like money. It practically dripped from their clothes. Their jawlines were rigid enough to form glaciers.
Their eyes were icy, too, as they stared back at the girl. They weren’t backing down.
I broke from the crowd, planning to go stand next to her. But before I could move, the crowd broke in half. An actual opening formed, and Logan Kade strode forward.
My foot jerked back into its spot, stepping back as he brushed past me.
Kade stopped beside her, and the three guys turned their attention to him. They didn’t move or say anything, but the air shifted. It’d been dark and ominous before, and I still felt a battle brewing.
“Kade starts fights, and he finishes them.”
A low tingle went through me, warming me. I remembered what Jason said and the nerves/anger/excitement took on a whole other feeling. My mouth was almost watering. I wanted to see what would happen. I wanted to see this Logan Kade in action, and for some reason, I was thirsting to see this fight.
“Kade,” one of them grated out his name.
Kade glanced at the girl, and then settled back on the spokesman. “What are you doing here?”
“It’s a party. We were invited.”
“And that’s why you’re facing off with Sam?” He moved forward a step.
“We weren’t facing off...”
Samantha folded her arms over her chest. “Yeah, right. You were just walking past me? That’s why you wouldn’t let me get past you to the car. We just ‘happened’ to block each other and you didn’t hear me when I told you to move.”
A little laugh slipped from me.
Kade threw me a sideways look.
I should’ve clamped a hand over my mouth. I should’ve let them know I wasn’t involved, because really, I wasn’t. I didn’t know this girl. It wasn’t my place to say anything or join in, but I didn’t. A dark part of me had opened up, seeing that this girl might need help. I wanted something to happen. I was almost egging it on in my head and as Kade watched me, his eyes lingering, the dark part grew into something else. My body grew warm and my pulse started to pick up. It was like he knew what was going on in me, and I swallowed over a lump, because that wasn’t right. He couldn’t know. He didn’t even know me...
But I felt like he did. I felt like he knew exactly what was going on in me, and a flash of anger flared up in me. I turned away. He could see inside of me, and that was too much. I didn’t want that so I slipped back into the crowd. As I pulled further away, enough so I wasn’t on the front line, my insides were still charged up.

Author Information
tijan bio.jpeg

I didn't begin writing until after undergraduate college. There'd been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

RELEASE DAY BLITZ: Hunter by Blaire Drake

hunternowavailable (1)
HUNTER NEW3

SYNOPSIS
Born into blood, I was a mafia princess. Raised in hiding, I was a Californian sweetheart.
The day my father sold my thirteen year old body to pay off a five year old debt was the day my mother stole me in the dead of night. She protected me as she was supposed to.
My father may have been the king, but my mother was the queen.
The mafia blood was hers.
That was ten years ago. Now… the devil was on the loose.
Carlo ‘Hunter’ Rosso was my father’s right hand man and the boy I’d loved since I could tie my own shoelaces. He was always the most ruthless and the most deadly of all the children.
He’d thought I was dead until the day his assignment was given: Kill Adriana and Alexandria Romano. Kill the princess, and definitely kill the queen.
What he didn’t know was that the queen was dead, and the princess had taken her throne.
Blood didn’t lie. It smeared, distorted, stained. But it didn’t lie.
My father was going to learn the hard way that the empire he’d stolen belonged to me.
And so did Carlo ‘Hunter’ Rosso.

EXCERPT
“Staying, are you? Figure it's easier to kill me in my sleep?”
Once again, he rubbed his hand across his face. He said nothing.
“Trying to work out whose life is worth more, right? Mine is probably worth a lifetime of comfort for you. Kill me and everyone's happy, right? My pathetic excuse for a father gets to keep his empire and you're taken care of for life.”
He looked at me, and his expression was a little tortured. I was being harsh. I knew that. But I needed to be. It was easier to provoke him and be angry with him than give in to the horrible ache that had settled in my heart.
“Adriana...” Weak. The word was weak.
I wanted to ignore the indecision on his face, but I couldn't.
He was considering it.
He really was.
I scoffed quietly at him and grabbed the gun from the coffee table. His mask and gloves fell to the floor, but he made no move to pick them up. The safety was on the gun, and I held it out to him. “Here. Take it. I don't care, Hunter. I don't have much of a life here in hiding anyway.”
He didn't even look at the gun. His silvery gaze never left mine. I wished he would look away, because in that gaze, I saw the Hunter I knew. The boy who once ripped his favorite shirt to stem the bleeding when I fell and cut my leg, then proceeded to carry me home. The boy who offered to pee on my foot when I got stung by a jellyfish in Mexico on vacation when I was seven.
The boy I loved before I knew what love even was.
“You're weak, Hunter,” I whispered. Slowly, I turned the gun back to me and touched the barrel to my temple the way he did earlier. His jaw clenched when my thumb edged toward the safety, and when my finger moved to hook around the trigger, he moved.
He was like a lightning bolt. He came at me like a flash, snatched the gun from my hand, and dropped it on the sofa. It bounced but stayed on the seat, and then he turned on me with blazing eyes. “Don't,” he ground out, his arms tensing and looking even bigger. “Don't ever fucking put that to your head again.”
“Why? I was saving you the job.”
The words had barely left my lips when he pounced on me. It was deadly, the way his hands clasped my face and his mouth descended on mine. I staggered back into the wall, gasping at the ferocity of his movement. Shock paralyzed me as he kissed me harshly. His tongue ran along the seam of my mouth, and as I fisted the sides of his shirt, I bit his lower lip.
A low growl left his throat, but he didn't relent. He just kissed me harder. He kissed me until I was fucking spinning and could barely string two thoughts together. Until my whole body was alight with his touch and responding to his every movement.
He tasted like whiskey. The strong, rich taste that lingered on his lips was heady and only added to the intoxicating way he touched me.
And then... It hit me. He was touching me. Kissing me.
Twenty minutes ago, he could have killed me.

Synopsis:
The New York Times bestselling hockey series featuring the Carolina Cold Fury continues as the team’s most notorious party animal gets blindsided by the one that got away.
Off the ice, elite defenseman Hawke Therrien enjoys his fair share of booze and good times. And why shouldn’t he? He’s worked his way up from the minor leagues and made himself a star. Vale Campbell isn’t the same girl she was at twenty. As crazy as she was about Hawke, her reckless behavior and out-of-control drinking were starting to scare her. She had to clean up her act, and that would never happen with Hawke around. Cutting him loose was the hardest thing Vale ever had to do—until now. Because she’s still crazy about Hawke. Sonja's Review

Sawyer Bennett's Carolina Cold Fury Hockey series is fast becoming one of my favorites and I look forward to each new book! Hawke was no different - I was so, so excited to read it and I just couldn't wait to get started on it. It was just as amazing as the others and it comes as no surprise that I loved it!

Well, out of all the heroines in this series so far, Vale is definitely the one who tested me the most. Oh my gosh, that woman made me so frustrated and angry with her, I almost wanted to kill her or at the very least choke or smack some sense into her. She had me yelling, beating my fists on the table, clenching my teeth, and whisper yelling at times. I won't go into details because I don't want to give anything away and while I can't say that she's one of my favorites, she doesn't do anything really, really bad and even when she was being all grr-and-argh worthy, I still liked her. Vale is a great person with a great heart and I honestly wouldn't want anyone else for Hawke!

I might not always have been too crazy about Vale, but I absolutely loooooooved Hawke! The Hawke from the past broke my heart when you saw how heartbroken he was over Vale, but the first thing I thought about the man from seven years later was that he was a cocky sumnab*tch and with that plus the partying - I wasn't completely sure about him as hero, but it didn't take him long to worm his way into my heart or for me to realize that he's actually a pretty good guy. Hawke is funny and sweet, playful and thoughtful, and kind and caring. Don't get me wrong, he still has his jerk moments, his utterly stupid (which he admits) guy moments, and his possessive, protective ones (not that I mind that, wink wink) too. Hawke turned out to be much more than I expected, he's absolutely wonderful and truly a great hero!

Hawke will make your heart race and get your blood pumping. It's a tale of betrayal, secrets, heartache, lust, love, second chances and new beginnings. It will make your heart hurt, make you angry, make you laugh, and make you melt. It's fantastic, I very much loved and enjoyed it, and I can't wait to read the next book!

Hawke is a standalone, it's told from Vale and Hawke's POV, and they do get their HEA.

Lydia's Review

I really don't know how to begin with this review... I just finished Drifter so I am still in the wow-speechless mode you get from a really awesome book. I could fangirl really hard right now. I am a hard core fan of The Sinners and the Knights and The Joker's Wrath. So to see all of the characters together in one book made my week.

This story is about the MC kids. Mercedes - Merc for short - falls hard for the brooding bad boy. I loved everything about Merc, she was funny and bubbly and headstrong and kickass. She had me laughing a good deal of the book.

And Diesel... Jesus, that man... as the upcoming future Pres of the Joker's Wrath he has a lot on his shoulders. He doesn't want anything to do with the MC which makes him perfect for Merc because she doesn't either. It was fun to watch her drive him nuts in the beginning and watch him fall hard for her.

There were moments in the book that broke my heart and of course just like all of Bella's books, it gave me the serious feels. Merc and Diesel get their HEA but they have to fight for it... which makes it all worth it in the end. The sex was explosive...a  definite plus (wink wink)! This book is a six stars for me... and yes, I can do that.

It is a standalone but I recommend you read the previous books because of reappearing characters.

AP- Excerpt.jpg
“Where’s your bedroom?” His voice is deep and firm as his hands move lower, around my throat, gently tightening then letting go, and my head is full of some kind of heavy mist because I forgot where my room is.
“Down there, on the left.” I hear my answer, not sure what part of my brain is actually still functioning.
“I’ll get you to work on time, but I need you right now, and you need me.”
His hands whip around and scoop under my arms, lifting me like a doll to cling to him face to face. My body feels weightless, and my ankles lock around his back.
The motion of his walk and the nearness of his lips turn the quivering between my legs into a craving.
“That feel good?” he asks, tightening his grip, pressing me into him. I can feel the fabric of his t-shirt against my clit.
The scent of coffee and something masculine and spicy is making me feel drunk. I bury my face in his neck and inhale. I love the texture of his fresh shave, just a hint of course beard creating friction against my cheek. There is a burning inside me, and I want it — him — to consume me. To keep me here, clinging onto him.
His hands play up and down my spine as I hear him kick open the door to my bedroom.
Shit. Wait…
But the pause in his step reminds me of why I don’t want people in here.
I hold my breath, waiting for his arms to loosen and my feet to hit the ground as he stares at the furious disaster that is my bedroom.
But, he steps forward without a word, his lips on my cheek. Three more steps and he lays me down gently on my bed, pushing my hands over my head before rising to full height. For a moment, I see what others see.
His face turns from that smiling Beckett that helped me find my own smile to this intense monster with a primal glare looking down at me like his prey. When his brow comes together, the light from behind those amazing eyes offset with the close cut of his black hair sends me spinning.
“So fucking perfect.” He tastes me with his eyes, and I can feel it somewhere inside me that is new. Somewhere I’ve kept sealed up. Sealed off. Because it’s the place he could hurt me most.
I bring my arms down in defense. He’s seeing things I don’t want him to see.
His eyes flash, and his face turns dark.
“Don’t fucking do that. Don’t ever cover yourself in front of me. Understand?”
He’s using that voice again, and I don’t know whether to be frightened or cum.
He leans down, becoming a bridge over me as I stretch my arms back up to where he’d placed them.
“That’s good. Keep them there.” His lips are perfect, and they’re on mine. Little pathetic noises escape me as his tongue glides inside my lips. He doesn’t rush, and I want more. I want fast. But, the way he’s looking at me, it’s clear — I’m not the one in charge.
I want him inside of me. It’s all I can think as our mouths turn and move against each other.
This is what a kiss is meant to be. Something as simple as lips touching can make me feel like we know things about each other no one else knows. I’m telling him so many things I could never say out loud, and his kiss is telling me he wants to know it all.
His lips move to my forehead, feather soft, knowing more new things about me, and it takes all my will not to bring my hands down to wrap around whatever part of him I can reach.
I have to concentrate to take each breath. Some are deep yet most are so shallow, my head is getting lighter and lighter until I feel like I’m floating. Or falling.
Right into him. Hoping he’ll catch me.
Both his hands move up and tangle in my hair, holding me firm as his warm mouth discovers my collar bones, and then moves down, sucking my tit so deep into his mouth, I let out a cry.
My sounds loosen something in him. I feel it.
His lips turn to teeth on my sensitive flesh, biting down until my cry turns to a scream, but my hips raise up, my body begging for so much more.
I want this; I want this pain because it comes from him.
And, it fills in parts of me that need filling.
He moves to the other side, dropping one hand from my hair and grazing down over my stomach.
I can feel his power as he releases me from his mouth, his hand flat on my belly and his eyes watching me as I lie quivering.
“Spread your legs.” It’s not a request; it’s clearly an order.
And I freeze.
