Jackson Dean is a changed man—at least he thinks he is—but when a brush
with the past leads him back into territory he’s long since left behind, he
finds himself at war with his conscience. Snatching Savannah Harper from a
Brooklyn street may have been okay with the wild and reckless guy he used to
be, but what about now?
Savannah is used to a life of brutality at the hands of her husband,
but being stuffed into the trunk of a car by a brown-eyed stranger injects a
fresh wave of terror into her heart.
What transpires between Jackson and Savannah surprises both of them.
Despite the unconventional way they’re thrown together, they form a bond that
begins to challenge everything they know.
His Past. Her present. Their future.
Surrendering to the feelings they’ve unearthed will be a minefield, but
it’s going up against the unknown that tests them to their limits.
As the lines between perception and reality blur, it appears that
nothing is as it seems.
Perceptionis not reality… and reality can be soul-destroying.

Paige's Review
I don’t think I can remember the exact moment that I fell for Jackson in The Bound Trilogy, but when I did, I fell hard — I just loved him and I wanted his story more than anything! And the moment when Ms. Leigh confirmed that she was indeed going to write about him next... well, I was beside myself with excitement and there was lots of high-pitched squealing and jumping up and down. The wait was long (although truthfully any wait would have been long even if it had only been a three month waiting period like we experienced with The Bound Trilogy books because I wanted to read his book so badly), but it was beyond worth it. Perception was truly exceptional, there is nothing I would change or want different, and it is the absolute best book that I’ve read all year!
Perception was different from The Bound Trilogy in a lot of ways, but the one way and the most important way that it wasn’t different, was how Perception affected me. I felt so much reading Ethan and Angel’s story and I felt just as much or more reading about Jackson and Savannah. I felt their pain and heartache, their fury and determination, and their joy and love as if it was my own. My heart broke for Jackson and Savannah, I wanted to sob and curse and at some points, I felt a touch homicidal too. There are hard moments to read in Perception, but it was also so sweet and warm and that giddy peaceful feeling you get sometimes while I was reading Jackson and Savannah's story. The love connection between them is so real and right, I loved and adored their journey.
I loved and adored them just as much. Savannah is in an unbearable, horrible situation, but I never thought of her as weak. She is unbreakable, she is strong, and she is fierce. She is a fighter, she’s determined and stubborn, and she is a survivor. Savannah is amazing and I have so much respect and love for her, you don’t even know — she’s worth it to get to know and I know you will be just as impressed and taken with her as I am.
And Jackson, of course, I couldn’t get away without talking about my Jackson. Oh, I just wholeheartedly love that man, he’s wonderful and impossible not to love. I loved seeing that warm, silly, playful side that we got to see a little bit with Angel, but even more so with Savannah. Jackson is true and honorable, he’s patient, compassionate, kind, and just a rock. Jackson will always be there for the people he loves and cares about and he would do anything for them He’s just as amazing as Savannah — you can’t any better with these two!
Perception was captivating, thought provoking, and deep. It was a romance and a beautiful one at that, but it was much more than just a simple love story. It was about hope, surviving and overcoming, empowerment, and finding and believing in yourself. Perception was beautiful, phenomenal, and inspirational. It touched every part of me and it is my favorite read of 2018 as well as the best one!

Author Bio
Kendra
Leigh fell in love with words and reading as a young child. She was at her
happiest when Enid Blyton whisked her away up into the magical lands at the top
of the Faraway Tree with Moon-face and the rest of the gang.
Now, of
course, she has more of a fondness for chocolate, cheese and hot men in suits -
not necessarily in that order.
Kendra
devotes her life to her devilishly handsome partner, scandalously beautiful
daughter and cute as hell Shih-Tzu. She believes in love at first sight, and as
well as writing and reading, Kendra has a passion for great movies and
brilliantly written TV.
