Who says a wild heart can’t be tamed?

For years, I lived for the job and let it control me. Violence was all I knew. I protected, killed, and served. My name is Blake Evans, one of the best undercover cops in the country. I thought I was about to live a quiet life on my ranch in Wyoming until an old friend showed up and changed everything. He brought me her, Hadley Rivers, country music sensation and the one woman I couldn't have. I didn't want her but she had me completely roped in.

My job is to protect her, to keep her away from some psycho who wants her for himself. However, there's more to her story than I was led to believe. I promised to keep her safe and I won't back down . . . even if I have to die trying. I can't let him have her.

LP Dover
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author, L.P. Dover, is a southern belle residing in North Carolina along with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she even began her literary journey she worked in Periodontics enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries. Her two number one fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime and those songs usually consist of Christmas carols. Aside from being a wife and mother, L.P. Dover has written over nine novels including her Forever Fae series, the Second Chances series, and her standalone novel, Love, Lies, and Deception. Her favorite genre to read is romantic suspense and she also loves writing it. However, if she had to choose a setting to live in it would have to be with her faeries in the Land of the Fae. L.P. Dover is represented by Marisa Corvisiero of Corvisiero Literary Agency.

Sonja's Review

OMG! Roped In was AH-MAHZ-ING!! I had some mixed feelings about it before I started reading because I'm not really into cowboys, but L.P. Dover wrote it and I've loved every book of hers that I read, so I knew that this would be a good one and that I would love it - and boy did I ever! I had no idea that I would love it as much as did or that it would be a favorite of mine, but it really is! It's one of my favorite L.P. Dover books and definitely my favorite cowboy book as well!

Man, Hadley is a spitfire! She gives just as good as she gets and she might be a famous county star, but she's not one of those spoiled, stuck-up, snobby stars. She's kind and generous and down to earth. Hadley is passionate, strong, and brave - she's everything I love in my heroines and I got such a kick out of her!

Now between Blake being an a**hole to Hadley in the beginning and realizing who he was from having read the Gloves Off series - I wasn't sure if I would be able to love him, but boy was I ever wrong! I loved Blake and I'm so glad that I gave him a chance because he is awesome! Yes, he has his jerkface-ish moments, but he has his sweet, tender, playful moments that totally made up for it. And oh my gosh - when he goes all alpha-male, possessive-protective mode - it will make you shiver because HOT D*MN, it is HOOOT!!

Although Roped In has a cowboy on the cover and Blake is a cowboy, it's not really cowboy-ey all the time and I think that's one of the reasons I loved it as much as I did. It's so full of mystery, suspense, and danger that it  will keep you on the edge of your seat and flipping the pages as fast as you can! It sucked me in so much that I could barely tear myself away, but it wasn't just the suspense holding me captive - it was everything. Roped In just had a great atmosphere that made it very easy to enjoy. It had the perfect combination of light and dark, funny and serious, and heartwarming moments along with heartbreaking ones. It was a spectacular read and I loved, loved, LOOOOOOVED it!!

Roped In is a standalone told from Blake and Hadley's POV and their HEA ending had me grinning like a fool!
