I wanted to read Never Tear Us Apart as soon as I read the synopsis. Although just saying "I wanted" isn't right - I was absolutely dying to read this book and I don't say that very often. Of course, there are a lot of books that I'm really excited for and want to read, but this one was different. I felt compelled to read it and I couldn't get it out of my mind. I'll admit I was a little worried when I started it because I was afraid that it wouldn't live up to how high I built it up in my head, but all my worries were for nothing because it was every bit as amazing as I thought it was going to be! 

Ethan and Katherine are not your average, typical, normal characters - they're different and not all the way put together. They're like a 1,000 piece puzzle with each of them only getting 500 of the pieces and while they can build their half of the puzzle, they will never be whole without the other. It's a little cheesy and maybe a silly analogy - I love puzzles, so sue me - but it's true that they are far better together than apart and they're just right for each other and I really hope they get their happily-ever-after because if anyone deserves it, it's Ethan and Katherine!

Some books take me longer to read than others and I thought that Never Tear Us Apart would be one of those longer books, but it was a surprisingly fast read for me. But just because it was a fast read, doesn't mean that it was an easy one. It broke my heart, made it ache, and punched me in the gut - it was really hard to read sometimes, but Ms. Murphy did a wonderful job of balancing the heartache and horror with sweet and happy, peaceful moments. 

Never Tear Us Apart is a beautiful, heart wrenching, incredible read that will capture you, anger you, hurt you, and touch you. It will have you turning the pages as fast as you can and rooting for Ethan and especially Katherine to overcome their demons, come together, and finally be free to live and laugh and love. 

Never Tear Us Apart is the first book in its series, it's told from Ethan and Katherine's POV, and it does in a cliffhanger that shouldn't drive you too crazy.
