by Ker Dukey & K. Webster
Publication Date: November 28, 2016
Genres: Dark Romance
Just like him, his dolly needed darkness as a fix, fix, fix.
So they tormented and hunted and played tricks, tricks, tricks.
Together their sins a lethal mix, mix, mix.
Until Benny missed his dolly who was lost, lost, lost.
He needed to find her and love her at any cost, cost, cost.
Not wanting him and his dolly to be alone, lone, lone.
He made plans to bring his dirty dolly, home, home, home.
Have you ever touched another’s soul with the essence of your own, breathed them in so they become apart of you?
I have.
Finally starting to live, feel and fall in love, amongst all the chaos surrounding me.
Dropping my guard and letting another into my heart.
I left my soul open.
I left my heart open.
I left the door open.
And he stole me.
Dillon…I’m sorry.
About K. Webster
About Ker Dukey
My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected. I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up. My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling. When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister. Come find me on Facebook, where I love interacting with my readers.Sonja's Review
Well, my Pretty Stolen Dolls review was a lot easier to write than this one, although I think that had more to do with the fact that I was hurrying to finish it so I could read Pretty Lost Dolls and that the words were just flowing, but it's more of a slowly-trickling-out-now kind of thing. I guess I can start there though, I was so desperate to read Pretty Lost Dolls and see what was going to happen to Jade and Benny and everybody. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint - Ms. Dukey and Webster delivered another fantastic story that I completely loved!
I didn't give any background on Jade in my last review and if there's one thing I have to say about her - it's that she's a total bada*s - I mean, she's legit! She's strong and tough-as-nails and while she might damaged and broken from what Benny did to her in the past, she refuses to let him win, to let him break her anymore, and she refuses to be a victim. Jade is fierce and hard, but she also has a softness and vulnerability to her too. She is so amazing and I loved, admired, and respected her.
Okay, I'm not going to mention the hero by name just in case anybody who hasn't read the first book yet happens to be reading this and I don't want to spoil anything even if they might want that. I will tell you that I absolutely loved him though! He is sweet, protective, funny, warm, patient, and perfect for Jade. He's a tough guy too, he never tries to stifle her, and he's totally in sync with her needs. He's so wonderful and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will love him just as much as I do!
Pretty Lost Dolls was in some ways easier to read than Pretty Stolen Dolls and harder in others. I definitely did more talking, yelling, and gargh-ing in this one than in the first one and my heart took a few hits more too, but I also knew that there was a light at the end of the tunnel this time plus all the heart-melty moments that made everything all worth while. Pretty Lost Dolls sucked me in so deep that if I could've, I would've read it from start to finish with no long breaks. It was just one of those stories that will have you glued to pages and flipping them as fast you can. It was heart pounding and gut wrenching, but also beautiful, touching, and heartwarming.
Pretty Lost Dolls must be read after Pretty Stolen Dolls, it's told from a few different POVs, and Jade and her hero are living their happily-ever-after, but I hope that Ms. Dukey and Ms. Webster get together again and bring us more fabulous stories!
