If Laurann Dohner's New Species series and the Resident Evil movies got together, then this book would be their baby - and let me just tell you - It. Was. Awesome! Ms. Kellen is one author who I've been meaning to read for awhile, so that plus the paranormaly-sci-fi-y aspect practically had me jumping to read Enigma and the only thing I'm sorry for is how long it took me before I read it! It was an excellent read and I absolutely loved it.
Abbie is a great heroine - she's strong and brave and she put herself on the line to help Hauke. And if that wasn't enough, she has a heart of gold. She's sweet, kind, compassionate, and is so pleasant to be around. I loved being inside her head, I loved how she felt about Hauke - I just loved her and I'm sure you will too!
And Hauke is just as wonderful as Abbie is. He's sweet, thoughtful, protective, devoted, and he'd do anything for her. There wasn't anything that I didn't love about Hauke, he completely and totally stole my heart. He will have you swooning and your heart melting in no time, trust me!
While I mentioned the New Species series and Resident Evil movies, Enigma is definitely something Ms. Kellen made her own. It was fascinating and unique and Hauke and his people are unlike any thing I've ever read before. It was full of passion, a little heartache and danger, along with a whole lot of love and heart. It was a truly fantastic read, I positively loved it, and I cannot, cannot, cannot WAIT to read Naura's book next or the rest of the series!
