Drake Powers had to be the most infuriating piece of work I’d met in my entire life. Never mind his gorgeous face, body, and tattoos. That was beside the point. The things that came out of the cocky bastard’s mouth—directed toward me, of course—had my own mouth falling open in shock.

His controlling, bad-boy demeanor should’ve had me running in the other direction.
But there was something behind that dominant presence of his.

Something guarded.

And I had to find out what it was.

I knew it was probably in my best interest to stay away.

But when was I ever one to listen?

Sonja's Review

Thursdays was the last Harper Bentley book I read and boy, was it a doozy - whew! Drake was exactly the kind of book I needed from her right now and I'm so glad it is the newest book of hers that I've read. It was just excellent and I completely loved it!

Drake definitely has his jerk-y, secretive moments, but he's more than all that. Really, he's the kind of hero I love with his bossy, dominating, alpha ways. He's seriously yummy, but it was his playful, sweet side that truly got to me. Drake is a good guy with a good heart and I just loved him!

Honor was totally the star of the show! She's strong, funny, and yeah, she has her emotional moments, but I didn't think any less of her for that and for the most part - she's actually kind of a bada*s. She might get tongue-tied by Drake and his hotness sometimes, but she's not afraid to stand up to him or anyone really. Honor is smart, kind, sweet, and sassy - she's fantastic and I loved, loved, loved her!

Drake is fun and sexy, but it's also serious and heartbreaking too. It made me cry, made me laugh, smile, and melt. It was steamy and passionate and entertaining. Drake was simply a wonderful little read and I can't wait to meet more of these new Powers Brothers!

Drake is the fifth book in The Powers That Be series, but since Drake is the first in a new line of brothers, you don't have to read the others books before, but you without a doubt should read them! It's told from Honor's point of view and Drake and Honor do get their happy ending.

~ 4.5 Stars
