Blurb:

Darkly sexy, emotional and forbidden, a woman unwittingly falls in love with the son of her abductor. The conclusion of a two-book contemporary romance series by New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy.

Lies hurt. Lies destroy. I tried my best to understand why Ethan kept his secrets but it was so hard. Until I realized that I couldn't deny myself any longer -- I needed to be with him. We needed each other. Despite my family's wariness, the media's fascination with us, the fact that his father still has a stranglehold on our lives, we belong together. No matter what. I will never let Ethan go. But sometimes love destroys us too, and we're too weak to banish the demons. Especially when our demons are determined to ruin us...

Sonja's Review

I found out before I started reading Never Tear Us Apart that it was going to be a cliffhanger and I'll admit that I had an "Argh!" moment because of it, but I didn't let it stop me from reading it. And when I did get to the end, I was still eager to read Never Let You Go, but it didn't drive me crazy to wait and I was actually glad to take a break from Katie and Will's story. It wasn't because I didn't like them or their book, it's just that these are not books that can you read every day. They have this certain atmosphere to them that completely sucks you in, makes you become fully invested and feel like you've been in a battle - their battle - by the time that you're done. Never Tear Us Apart and Never Let You Go aren't easy books to read - they're hard and dark, but they're so beyond worth it to chance on for so many different reasons that it's hard to do them all justice.

It has been amazing to watch Katie become such a strong woman, fight all her demons, and truly come alive and live. She doesn't always have everything figured and she has her weak moments, but she is in every way a survivor. I wasn't happy with her sometimes, but I completely respected her. I know we always call our lead female in our books a heroine, but there could be no better or more perfect word when it comes to describe Katie than that one because Katie truly is the heroine of her story. She fights to overcome all of her evils and she saves not only everything and everyone else who needs, but she also saves herself. Katie is an incredible woman and I'm proud of her and that I was able to go on this journey with her.

My heart utterly ached for Will - for the boy he used to be, to the troubled young man he was, and to the broken, lonely man he became. He captured my heart with his pain, his thoughtfulness, his sweetness, and his unwavering, unflinching devotion to Katie. Will has so much good in him and all that he's been through and the doubts he has about himself - just make me want to cry for him, wrap him in my arms and never let HIM go. Katie needed a hero just as incredible as she is and that man could have been no other but Will. He is truly an outstanding hero and I fell head over heels in love with him.

Never Tear Us Apart is an amazing book, but Never Let You Go is even better. It's everything that I thought the first book would be and more. This book just buried itself so deep in my heart and soul, it made me feel and experience everything from the heartbreak, the tears, the frustration, confusion, fear, and anger all the way to the love, happiness, and joy that Katie and Will felt.

Never Let You Go is a powerful, phenomenal, inspiring tale of heartbreak, pain, beauty, strength, struggle, and triumph. It is one of the best books I've read this year and I know that I will never forget it.
