RELEASE DAY REVIEW: Ladies Man by Katy Evans

Title: Ladies Man by Katy Evans
Series: Manwhore, #3
Release Date: April 26, 2016

Synopsis:
TAHOE ROTH.
Irreverent, cocky, playful and naughty.
He’s not the guy you date.
He’s the one night stand.
The one your mother warned you about.
The one your body craves.

You’d think the man who called me succulent would want to strip me down and spread me out on his bed—like he’s done with countless others.
But he passed on my offer….
Just like I’d once passed on his.
He’s wary, like I am.
He’s broken, like I am.
And everyone knows two broken parts can’t ever make a whole.
Tahoe and I are strictly friends.
So I distract myself with other men.
He doesn’t think my new man is good enough. This blond blue-eyed beast doesn’t think any man is—himself included.
But the more time we spend together, the more confused I feel.
I'm trying to open myself to love.
Yet I'm quickly realizing that the only man I want is Tahoe Roth.
The one man who will surely break my heart.

Sonja's Review

I absolutely loved Manwhore and I loved Tahoe in it, so I was unbelievably excited when I realized that Ladies Man was his and Gina's story! I just couldn't wait to read it and Ms. Evans totally knocked it out of the park - or I guess I should say she "scored" with this book. It was utterly amazing and I loved it, I loved it, I LOVED it!

I wasn't too crazy Regina in Manwhore, but it didn't take me long to love her after being inside her head. There's a lot more to the woman we saw before and the person she really is. Gina is tough but we get to see her vulnerable, insecure side and as weird as it might sound, it was actually a little charming and refreshing because we were able to see behind her mask and it made her more real to me. She did a lot of growing in this book - she became an even stronger, braver, more independent and secure woman who knows her worth, what she deserves, and what she wants. Regina is truly wonderful and I couldn't love her any more than I already do!

I loved the playful, fun guy Tahoe was when we first met him and I only fell harder for him the more we got to see who he is completely. He's still that same fun, teasing guy, but just like there was more to Regina, there's more to Tahoe too. He's so protective and loyal and he always has your back. He's just so intense and you would never question or wonder if his focus was only on you and if he was listening to what you wee telling him. Tahoe is a good friend, an even better man, and he will make you swoon and steal your heart!

I've been a little obsessed with Cutthroat Kitchen lately, that Alton Brown is just so entertaining with all his evil masterminded-ness - I just love it - but Ladies Man sucked me in and captured my attention so much that I didn't want to do anything but read it! It's just one of those books that you never want to put down because you're so invested in the story and you HAVE to know what happens next. It fills you with anticipation, seduces your mind, and tempts your soul. Ladies Man was a marvelous, beautiful, deep, slow burn kind of read that I loved with all my heart and I can't wait for what Ms. Evans does next!

Ladies Man is the third book in the Manwhore series but can be read as a standalone, it's told only from Gina's POV, and Tahoe and Gina's happily-ever-after ending left me with a huge smile on my face!
